THE MATCH PROGRAMME

No programme issued for this match played at Falkirk's Brockville because of the restrictive crowd capacity at Recreation Park. Instead, Alloa issued the programme for the original match on 5th January (postponed because of bad weather). No update/insert was included and no acknowledgement of the postponed fixture was made.

The 32 page full-colour programme was a bit over-priced at a £2. However, it contained some very interesting features and some great photographs from previous Wasps v Celtic matches.

The pick of the features were a 'Game from the past' where the author looked backed at a previous Scottish Cup tie between the two clubs in the 1954/55 season. The article included an image of the programme for the 1955 match.

Another excellent article was 'What's it worth?' where the value of programmes are discussed along with the various changes in the hobby through the years.

The size of the print run is unknown at this time but it didn't look like there were many programmes for sale and I saw only one programme seller at the Celtic end and he only had one box of progs.

Enlarged programme - ALLOA ATHLETIC Scottish Cup 08/01/02. Cost £2.00.

4th Round

Tuesday 8th January 2002

KILMARNOCK 0 GLASGOW CELTIC 2

Man of the Match: Paul Lambert

THE MATCH PROGRAMME

Although you may have expected this issue to include an apology from Bobby Williamson to Stan Petrov about his comments after the match a fortnight ago, Williamson decided to ignore the fact that he had falsely accused the Celtic player of diving in the penalty box.

The 40 page full-colour programme in the usual Kilmarnock issue style cost £2. 19 pages of adverts and very little of interest for the Celtic fan (or the killie bigots, few as they are).

One bright light was the inclusion of a picture of the match programme issued for a Scottish Cup tie between the clubs in 1955.

Dallas turned in another inept and, in our opinion, biased performance with some very strange decisions - booking Agathe for being pulled to the ground by his shirt and shorts, booking Sutton for his first foul tackle and letting an identical Aberdeen tackle go minutes later without even speaking to the Dons player, awarding a penalty against Balde when the player clearly got to the ball first, not allowing treatment for big Sutton when he was clearly the victim of a very late challenge by that wee sh** Young, ignoring his linesman's flag when sutton suffered that late challenge (questioned by Saint Martin after the match, the linesman denied that he had put his flag up or that he saw anything wrong. I was at the match and can assure everyone that he DID have his flag up for that tackle. His errors go on and on but that's enough. If Dallas is our best ref, we are in a sorry state. Okay I'll give you one guess at this question. Which ref have our 'friends' at the SFA allocated to take charge in the next Old Firm match?

Aberdeen: Kjaer, McGuire, Whyte, McAllister, McNaughton; Darren Young, Bisconti, Mackie; Winters, Dadi, Derek Young (Zerouali 36).
Subs: Esson, Anderson, Tiernan, Clark, Zerouali.
Scorers: n/a.

Celtic: Douglas; Balde, Sutton (Crainey 86), Mjallby; Agathe, Lambert, Lennon, Petrov, Thompson; Hartson, Moravcik (Maloney 57).

AYR UNITED 0 GLASGOW CELTIC 3

Man of the Match: Alan Thompson

THE MATCH PROGRAMME

Bigotted Ayr fans booed Neil Lennon from his first touch of the ball to his last in this match. Why did this bunch of nomarks do this? Neil Lennon had never played against their crappy wee team before, so they had no footballing reason for it. Just plain old religious bigotry. But that's Ayrshire for you - full of bigots.

Cost of the programme was £2.

AYR UNITED Scottish Cup Semi-Final 22/03/02. Match Programme cost £2.
