FRIENDLY

ST MIRREN 0 CELTIC F.C. 3

Tuesday 30 July 2002
St Mirren Park

Kick-off: 7.45pm | Referee: Kevin Toner

MATCH PROGRAMME

St Mirren produced the programme below for this friendly. Considering that the match was arranged only days before, this is an excellent production from editor Alastair MacLachlan and contributors.

Twelve pages in full colour on glossy paper, only two pages have adverts. The teams (squads) are listed along with the officials on the back cover and the front cover contains the match details, club crests, sponsors and St Mirren player Ian Ross against a very busy photographic montage.Inside, the standard of articles/info on Celtic is very good and the editor makes a few good points. For example, did you know that Celtic first wore numbers on their shorts in the 1960 friendly against Sparta Rotterdam?

Priced at £1 this match was played during the wettest July in living memory so watch out for water damaged copies.

MATCH PROGRAMME

Standard issue for this seasonwith this 40 page B5 programme. Paul Lambert on the front cover.

In the manager's "Pep Talk" page Martin O'God says "I am pleased that my own contractual situation has been sorted, and that should put and end to speculation on that front". Not in sectarian Scotland Martin!

The programme has eleven pages of adverts, some interesting articles and a couple of pages of great photographs of the Lisbon Lions at Wednesday's freindly against Feyenoord.

Priced at £2.
