OLYMPIASTADION, MUNICH

"I don't know what to say, we are pretty devastated, all of us. Tomorrow morning I might be able take heart from our performance, but tonight I can't." Martin O'God (immediately after the match) |

NO OFFICIAL MATCH PROGRAMME ISSUED None of the pirates for this match were sold at the match in Germany. The white pirate was made in Scotland, the one with the CL trophy on the front cover was made in England and the yellow one with the two club logos was made in Germany but not in Munich. The yellow issue is dreadful, the white one is okay, and the English one is very good and looks professionaly made. Two collectors who were at Bayern have informed us of two points concerning whether any of these pirates were on sale at the match. A badge seller said that he was offered 100 pirates for 150 euros. The badge sellers description of what he was offered matches the yellow programme. Secondly, a fan was having breakfast in his hotel the day after the match and was talking to another Celtic fan that said he had bought a programme at the match but had left it under his seat. However, EVERY Collector that was there agrees that no one saw or bought any programmes at the match Click at the following links to see a picture of the Bayern pirates - white, yellow, CL trophy. NEWSPAPER This daily newspaper sports section - "Bild Sport" - covered the match on the front cover with several articles about the match, photographs and likely teamlists. Bilde Sport is part of a daily braodsheet newspaper called "Bild" and is not an official Bayern club issue.

"We dominated the first half completely, We probably didn't create as many chances as in the previous two games, but Bayern set out to frustrate us and they were dangerous on the break. There's obvious disappointment in the dressing room because we haven't won the game, but we were playing against a quality side and they stubbornly resisted." Martin O'God (immediately after the match) "It would be nice to think after all that happened to him in Lyon that he might go back there and put us through." Martin O'God (about Henrik in the Stade Gerland, Lyon) |
"We know what we have to do in the last game. The atmosphere here was unbelievable and it's an honour to play in such an arena." Oliver Kahn ( after the match in Glasgow) |
