SPL 25

FIRHILL, GLASGOW

MATCH PROGRAMME

This issue has 8 pages fewer than the 56 page issued for the previous match at Firhill in August - no decrease in the £2.50 price though.

Celtic broke Morton's 40 years old Scottish record of 23 wins in a row with a 4-1 win at Firhill today. Chris Sutton and Stan Varga scored twice each to mark Celtic's twenty fourth victory in a row. The team that set the new record was - Douglas, Kennedy, Varga, Balde, McNamara, Petrov, Lennon, Pearson, Thompson, Larsson, Sutton.

Former Celtic hero, Jorge Cadete made his return to Scottish football and his debut for the Jags in this match - but he didn't put the ball in the nete. Not surprisingly, Cadete received a mixed reception from the Celtic faithful.

The match programme.
