REMARKS

Artmedia's Senec Stadium did not come up to UEFA standards so the match was played at Slovan Bratislava's Tehelne Pole stadium ( also the Slovak national stadium). Artmedia’s own stadium holds only 7,500.

FC Artmedia Bratislava are also known as FC Artmedia Petrzalka.

FC Artmedia Bratislava have a 107 year history, formed in 1898.

Artmedia were Slovakian champions for the first time last season so this is their first attempt at the Champions League.

Artmedia beat Partizan Belgrade in the 3rd Qualifying match to reach the group stages at their first attempt and have ended up in the same group as Rangers.

Coach Vladimir Weiss played in the 1990 Czechoslovakian World Cup squad with former Celtic star Lubo Moravcik.

No Artmedia players were in Slovakia’s last international squad.

Sutton broke his cheekbone in this match.

Celtic's biggest defeat in European competition.

What Gordon Strachan said after the match in Bratislava -

"I’ve been in football management for 8 years and as a player for 25 years and this is without doubt the worst football night. I thought I had been tested quite a lot as a manager before – this is a big test – a disappointment is not the best adjective for tonight. At this moment after a result like this we are all in shock, to be honest. It is very hard to be coherent after this result."
