The Celtic youngsters were beaten 3-2 by Club Bruge in their last group match. When the group stages finished, Eintracht Frankfurt topped Group A from Spurs in second place and Celtic finished winners in Group B with Djurgardens runners-up. In the semi-final the winners of group A played the runners-up in Group B and Celtic, as winners of group B played Tottenham Hotspur.

Celtic lost 1-0 to Spurs (who kicked-off the tourny with a 2-0 win against KAA Ghent) in the semi-final and Eintracht Frankfurt beat Djurgardens in the other match.
