MATCH PROGRAMME

This is an English version programme aimed at the visiting fans and is advert-free. It has sixteen A5 pages in full colour. It is the only one of the three (possible) official programmes that has traditional teamlines inside. Looks the same as the programme below but is in English (not Spanish) and, apart from the front covers being similar, it is a completely different version from the programme below - every page inside is different.

At this time it is unclear whether the two programmes below are official or not. The evidence so far is that they have some sort of connection to villarreal, although some collectors are saying these are pirate issues, one prominent programme dealer informed us that he bought a number of these programmes direct from Villarreal. Another collector has verified this and claims to have seen a letter that was delivered with the programmes that had an official Villarreal letterhead. More on this as the truth surfaces. If it is a pirate, then it will be one of the cheapest ever at only 2 Euros. The green pirate, for example, was 5 euros and even the crappy ones made by the English pirateers are sold for the ridiculus price of £5 or more.

After a short investigation, we have found out that these programmes are most likely issued by a local media group called POBLE (or 'Populate' in English). Populate is a local monthly free magazine (similar to the type that are published in every town in the U.K.) that carries stories of local interest and is used to promote the city of Vila-Real and local business. If this is the case, they are not pirate issues but would be better described as souvenir issues that have been issued with consent from Villarreal.

MATCH PROGRAMME

This is a Spanish version programme for the home supporters. It is completely different inside from the English version above and has many adverts aimed at the local support. The number of adverts for local companies could be an indication that this is not a pirate programme but is either official or at least sanctioned by Villarreal.

PIRATE MATCH PROGRAMME

The 20 page A4 programme below claims to be official but it isn't. It is from the now familiar Spanish pirateers that have been making programmes for Celtic's away European games since first one ever in 2001/2002 season wi.the the Valencia CF away UEFA Cup match. Produced in full colour, it is of the usual high quality. The Spanish pirateers were selling this programme inside the stadium. This is the first time (as far as we know) that this has happened.
