Tony Mowbray's first game in charge of Celtic. Scott McDonald made captain for the match. Three ex-Huns for the Roar - Craig Moore, Charlie Miller, Bob Malcolm. Chris Killen scored two in the space of three minutes late in the first half and Koki Mizuno scored the third with a brilliant diving header. Killen rocket header and shot from the edge of the penalty area. Marc-Antoine Fortune and Lukasz Zaluska debut - recently transferred in a reported 3.8 million pound move from Nancy and TM's first signing. Artur Boruc busy with many fine saves.

According to the official Celtic Website "Over 20,000 Celtic supporters attended that game, while 24 hours earlier 1,100 Hoops fanatics had watched the team train. Club officials were also special guests at a Gala Dinner on the eve of the match."
