It was 2-0 in 27 minutes as centre-half Blair Tolmie rose to power home the second with a brilliant header, although it did appear to take a deflection. McGowan then grabbed his first of the evening to make it 3-0 at the break. The Celtic striker was outstanding all evening and netted his second just five minutes after the break. Then, with 20 minutes remaining, McGowan finished off a fine flowing move with a clinical half-volley to complete his treble and round off a useful exercise for Celtic."
