| Two games were played to celebrate the opening of the Ravenswood Stadium. First the first team (billed as the Lisbon Lions) played against Cumbernauld Utd in a 15-minute each way match, winning 2-0. Jock Stein actually kicked-off this match. In the full match (the actual match) Celtic Reserves beat the same Cumbernauld Utd team 4-1. King Kenny Dalglish was playing for Cumbernauld United and was soon to sign for Celtic. Cumbernauld played all of their registered players over the two matches. |
