The Bryan Robson testimonial is not only remembered as a fantastic game of football but for the freindship of the United fans and the 15,000 Celtic fanatics that attended Old Trafford that night. Unfortunately Bryan Robson was recovering from injury but, the hard-as-nails United captain, still managed to play for 18 minutes at the end.

The Celtic View (28/11/1990) said in their report on the match "It was truly a privilege to view the Celtic faithful in full cry. Some 15,000 fans made the crusade south ... wave after wave of song or chant emanating from that section of the stadium swept across the chill night air for fully two hours."

At the end of the match the United fans swarmed onto the pitch in their thousands to greet their hero and were joined by the same from the Celtic supporters. Eventually around 10,000 United fans were massed in front of the Celtic end and both sets of fans sang together, swapping scarves and souvenirs. A night to remember!
