After this tour ChampionsWorld LCC executive president Charlie Stillitano announced that the company had applied for bankruptcy protection. To stage the nine team, 11-game North American tournament had cost $30-million (U.S.). Celtic and Roma set a record attendance for the SkyDome
in this match. The match on Friday night between FC Porto and Liverpool
attracted a very respectable crowd of 40,078 but the following night
Celtic, AS Roma and the record
