Draw for this round was made on June 24.

Celtic will need to win through three rounds to qualify for the Group stages - the 2nd qualifying round, the Third qualifying round and the Play-offs round.

In these qualifying rounds and the play-off stage, clubs play two matches against each other on a home-and-away basis. The club which scores the greater aggregate of goals qualifies for the next round, with away goals and then penalties used to determine the winner in the event of a draw.

Clubs that lose in the 2nd qualifying round are eliminated from all UEFA competition. Clubs eliminated in the third qualifying round are admitted to the play-offs for the UEFA Europa League. Clubs eliminated in the play-offs round are admitted to the group stage of the UEFA Europa League.

Note - home clubs fix the kick-off time for all matches of the qualifying phase and the play-offs.

Neil Lennon is a victim of sectarian and racist abuse at Tynecastle while watching the league cup semi-final between Aberdeen and St Johnstone on the Saturday before the St Mirren match. Morons in the Aberdeen crowd throw coins and other missiles at the Celtic manager. Police, instead of arresting the morons, move him to another part of the main stand for his safety. Another example of Scotland's secret shame.

The next target for Neil Lennon's stingy defence will be the British record of 1,311 minutes set by Edwin Van Der Sar for Manchester Utd in 2008/09 season. God willing and providing no goals are lost against Hearts and Aberdeen in the next two games, that will be Inverness at Celtic Park on the 1st of March.
